Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hearts full of thanks -- that's what makes for good singing! With Jesus as the source of our salvation and center of our future, how can we not sing! But singing is not just for us and God. God wants our songs to bless others. It is our ultimate spiritual talk.
The eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. (NIV)
2 Chronicles 16:9
Paul was led by the Spirit. His life stood out as he stayed in step with God's Spirit. I am absolutely convinced that I can do nothing without God's Spirit empowering me. I need His Spirit living and working in me and through me. I can do nothing without Him. BUT, with God's strength nothing is impossible. . .NOTHING!
A Prayer to Pray:
Father, I want to be more like Your Son. . .
Strengthen me today. Fill me with Your Spirit. Have me walk in the newness of life. Lord, I want to be holy as You are holy. Fill me with Your gentleness and Your tenderness and Your love. Have all my words today be Yours. Have all that I say be a benefit to others. And Father, fill me with a tremendous desire to know You. . .to love You. . .to obey You. . .and to represent You to others. Lord I want to be one of those people that as Your eyes range throughout the earth that You see my heart fully committed to You!
─邱佩鳳 from ccmhk
O Lord, you will ordain peace for us, for indeed, all that we have done, you have done for us.
-Isaiah 26:12 (NRSV)
WE often think of peace as the absence of war. In the Bible, more than one word is translated "peace." The word often used in the Old Testament is shalom. This word shalom means more than the absence of war. It is the infinite and inexhaustible peace of God. Shalom is peace that fills the heart with love, caring, and understanding. It supports, sustains, refreshes, and brings joy to life.
When we live through challenges, tragedies, and great pain, we can come to know more deeply the significance of shalom. My son died two years ago. In that time, I have realized how the Holy Spirit is manifest in the midst of pain and sorrow. I felt the power of God's shalom within me even as I continued to feel the loss of a loved one. People commented, "How can you look so peaceful? Your face radiates peace." Of one thing I am certain: God's shalom lives within me and grants me peace that the world cannot offer. (See John 14:27.)

Loving God, thank you for your presence within us, especially during times when we truly need the peace that only you can provide. Amen.
God's peace is available to us in life's worst moments. (from upper room)
This flash is a series of Why? questions, followed by God's answers to every question.
The conclusion is: it is human to ask Why?
God remembers that we are made from dust.
The flash is not done by me.
I kept the flash for a long time and yet
do not know who is the author of the flash is.
